7. Queries

7.1 The Queries browser

Te Queries browser is like a shortcut browser to all past queries created from the SQL Editor. It also provides metadata such as the name of the query tab, the creator and time when the SQL query was last modified.

Irregardless of where they have been saved, simply clicking on a query will pop it up on the SQL Editor.

Say you click on the si_community link, databricks will quickly take you to the SQL editor and open the si_community SQL query tab.

7.2 Practical

Create a new SQL tab using the SQL Editor. Run a simple query on it. Thereafter, come to the Queries browser. You should see your recently created query appear under the Queries tab with auxillary information such as name and date of creation.
